Recently a friend of ours, invited us to the summer fair being held by The Royal Ballet Lower School, where her daughter was a student. The school itself is located in a former Royal hunting lodge, White Lodge, which became home to The Royal Ballet Lower School in 1955. The day itself was very touch and go as the weather really did not play ball. Fortunately when we got there, the rain had stopped and the school staff were able to dry out the outdoor dance floor that was setup specifically for the day.
It was really great seeing all the kids performing and seeing the real passion for ballet and dance shine through with all of them. The show we watched in the afternoon was broken into various performances per age group. Not being much of an expert on the subject, I could not tell you what each performance was, but I did enjoy it! You could see a lot of hard work had gone into the performances and it really paid off.
Literally as the last performer left the dance floor, the rain made an appearance. Talk about good timing!
Below are some of the photos from the show and I hope you like them.
